BEA Eagle Eye Through-Beam laser sensors designed for rugged environments.

BEA Lasers released its Eagle Eye Sensors, which include both a through-beam photoelectric laser source (emitter) and a receiver. The sensors’ nickel-plated brass housing carries a IP67 rating. The laser is available with a red (650nm) laser, and a dot optic. The laser is pulsed/modulated, which helps the receiver distinguish the signal from extraneous light and achieve its sensing range of 20 meters. The effective beam size of a standard Eagle Eye through-beam laser sensor has been “apertured” to detect small parts, inspect small profiles or accurately sense position. The sensor package features short circuit protection, hysteresis of 10-15 percent and an operating temperature of -5⁰C to +50⁰C.
